Winners of the B&F US Business Awards 2010 announced in New York
Business & Finance in conjunction with the Irish American Business Association (“IABA”), is delighted to announce recipients of this years’ 2010 US Business & Finance Awards (“the Awards”) which took place on Monday, 20 December 2010 at the New York Stock Exchange. This year’s Awards include a Special Recognition Award, Irish Enterprise of the Year Award, Outstanding Contribution to Ireland Award and International Irish Business Person of the Year Award.
These prestigious Awards reflect the global reach and contribution of Irish business leaders and the unique contribution of US corporations in Ireland. The outstanding achievements of this year’s recipients helps maintain Ireland’s standing on the global stage.
Special Recognition Award | Invest NI
Invest NI, Northern Ireland’s regional economic development agency was honoured with a Special Recognition Award for attracting inward investment from global companies into Northern Ireland. This award was presented by Duncan Neiderauer, Chief Executive Officer of NYSE Euronext. As the region’s economic development agency, Invest NI offers flexible and comprehensive support to businesses including a range of financial and other incentives to maximize profitability, facilitate recruitment & training and encourage R&D.
Irish Enterprise of the Year Award | Taxback.com
Taxback.com, a leading international taxation, finance and travel consultancy servicing clients in over 100 countries, was awarded the 2010 Irish Enterprise of the Year. This Award recognises outstanding commercial success and growth over the past decade. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, Taxback.com now employs over 640 staff in 20 countries.
Outstanding Contribution to Ireland Award | Bank of New York Mellon
Bank of New York Mellon (“BNY Mellon”), a leading asset management and securities services company, uniquely focused to help clients manage and move their financial assets and succeed in the rapidly changing global marketplace was presented with the Outstanding Contribution to Ireland Award. It acknowledges the significant contribution that BNY Mellon has made to Ireland. Headquartered in New York, BNY Mellon has $24.4 trillion in assets under custody or administration and $1.14 trillion under management.
International Irish Business Person of the Year Award | John G Duffy
John G Duffy, Chairman of Keefe, Bruyette & Woods (“KBW”) was awarded the Irish Business Person Award. This award honours an outstanding record of success and a proven ability to create, nurture and develop new products or services in the US. Mr Duffy has served with KBW for 30 years, having been elected Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in September 2001.

On September 30th 2010, former US President Bill Clinton attended the Outstanding Contribution to Ireland Awards honouring Loretta Brennan-Glucksman and the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland.
The Business & Finance Awards was established in 1974 and is the longest running and most coveted business awards programme in Ireland, whose past recipients include Tony O’Reilly, Neville Isdell, Jim O’Hara, Gary McGann and Declan Kidney.
